Dr. Ann Nelson-Brown graduated as valedictorian from high school and went on to attend Michigan State University. Ann’s undergraduate work focused on Animal Science and she graduated with her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Michigan State University in 1995. She then attended Colorado State University as an anatomic pathology graduate student. She started work as a clinical small animal veterinarian in the Denver area in 1997 and has continued to serve the Denver metro community as a small animal veterinarian ever since. In 1999, Ann received special recognition for her humanitarian efforts in starting and maintaining a not-for-profit program aimed at helping abandoned, injured and/or sick animals in need of medical attention. Ann volunteered many hours towards caring for and earning money for diseased abandoned animals. She obtained certification in veterinary acupuncture from CSU’s acclaimed program in the spring of 2009 and has successfully incorporated acupuncture into her veterinary medical and surgical practices. Ann lives in Westminster with her husband, two children, and their dogs, Buster, Summer and Pippin. She enjoys reading, creative writing, Kundalini Yoga, hiking and listening to music in her spare time.
