Upon deciding as early as the second grade that she wanted to be a veterinarian, Brinn focused her energies and education on that goal.
Growing up in Indianapolis, the center of the flatlands of Indiana, career plans were coupled with a desire to live near the mountains. After earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology and Business at Hanover College, a beautiful liberal arts school in southern Indiana on the banks of the Ohio River (the least flat part of the state), she set her sights on vet school. She was accepted into the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine in Knoxville, TN, at the foot of the Great Smoky Mountains. Brinn achieved her nearly lifelong dream of becoming a veterinarian when she graduated in 2016.
Dr. Granger's hunger for continued learning and even bigger mountains led her to an internship in beautiful, colorful Colorado. She gained excellent experience with Aspen Meadow Veterinary Specialists in Longmont, and Alpenglow Veterinary Specialty Clinic in Boulder. Dr. Granger then went on to serve as a relief veterinarian for several clinics across the front range before settling down at one clinic. In this capacity, she met and worked with some of the most wonderful clinicians, clients, and patients.
After finding a home near the Rockies, Dr. Granger has no plans to leave! She loves everything Colorado has to offer - beautiful scenery, exciting travel destinations, amazing music venues, and peaceful places to celebrate life and recharge her batteries-oh, and mountains! Enjoyable pastimes include spending time outside, hiking and biking, traveling, trying new food and drink with friends, or just settling in with a good book.
Dr. Granger considers her work not just a job but an essential and meaningful part of who she is and how she can contribute to the world. She feels fortunate to be able to give voice to those who cannot.
