Aspen Arbor makes November Feline Health Month!

Did you know that cats outnumber dogs as pets in the U.S. by almost 10 million? Sure, they’re fantastic pets – but it’s not all good news. There are also more cats than dogs in animal shelters and in need of good homes, and studies show that cats are less likely to receive veterinary care than dogs. This is where we come in!
Aspen Arbor has decided to make the month of November, Feline Health Month to make sure our kitty friends don’t get left behind.

Specials Include:

  • 15% off Spay/Neuter- (includes bloodwork, surgical procedure, and pain medications).

  • 15% off Dental Cleaning- (includes bloodwork, scaling and polishing).

  • 10% off Senior Wellness Package- (includes bloodwork, urinalysis, and blood pressure check).

Appointments are filling fast! Call for more information, or to make your cat an appointment today!  Meow.

Dogs Suffer from Mystery Illness in Durango Colorado

It has been brought to our Hospital’s attention there is an unknown illness outbreak in the Durango area.  They are saying the illness is similar to kennel cough although much more severe.
Symptoms to watch for include:
*  Lethargy
*  Deep Cough
*  Wheezing
*  No Appetite
Dr. McKee said it is possible this could be influenza but we cannot be sure.  Currently we have not seen any cases with this illness.  We will keep you updated if we hear any further information.
